Cissy Joined HUREED in 2017. She is an activist and a group leader at The Access Action Group (TAAG) which promotes the highest standard of health services for marginalized groups by providing free health services to marginalized groups in rural areas of Uganda.
Cissy has 3 years’ experience in serving and advocating for equitable access to services for marginalized groups and highly experienced in community engagement.
Cissy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Community Based Development from Kampala International University (KIU) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Rights, Peace and Humanitarian Interventions from Uganda Christian University and a certificate in Proposal writing and Resource Mobilization from Uganda Management Institute, with high analytical and communication skills. She started working at HUREED as a Programs Manager and later promoted as a Deputy Executive Director because of her compatibility in engaging in organization work and support to our target constituencies.
As the Organization speaker, Cissy has been able to effectively represent HUREED in various platforms and giving a clear view of the organization strategies, missions and visions.
As a Youth Grassroots Advocacy officer, Cissy coordinates with youths in the marginalized groups who are trained by HUREED to become Community Paralegals and advocate for their fellows as well as giving free first legal aid before referring them to HUREED for further support.
Cissy believes that joining HUREED is the best decision she has ever taken because she enjoys advocating, serving and having engagements with most vulnerable people.
Outside work, Cissy enjoys spending time with her family, making research and adventuring new places.
