WHO WE ARE?
The Human Right and Economic Empowerment Development (HUREED) is presently a grassroots, community organization found in Uganda with a certificate of registration. It is a based nonprofit, non-governmental organization developed in 2017 by a few dedicated people to promote the highest standard of rights, health and economic wellbeing for the lives of various minority groups and individualsthrough providing support, information, tackling violence, stigma and discrimination and advocating for equitable access to health, legal justices and social inclusion. The organization is inclusive and respectful of minority groups and individuals in need of legal, financial or emotional support.
Our overarching goal is to represent and advocate for the rights, needs and best interests of all minority groups and individual issues in Uganda as well as empowering their community to recognize and work towards resolving their issues and challenges in Uganda.
BACKGROUND TO OUR WORK
In Uganda marginalizedpersons are often discriminated and stigmatized. These persons have not been taken into consideration and most times their ideas are not valued. Most marginalized people are being taken advantage of and have lost their property and jailed because they cannot afford to fight for their rights. HUREED was founded to provide free legal service, health services and economic empowerment development through business entrepreneurial and vocational skills.This will help to create confidence and equip the marginalized people with skills that will help them in building up their life and the lives of their people.
Increased access to human rights in terms of access to health, legal success and economic substance of all marginalized persons in Uganda.
To engage stakeholders, do advocacy, create awareness about human rights, health rights and economic empowerment of the marginalized group so as to be able to defend their access to services as well as to attain economic sustenance.

To engage stakeholders in advocacy for the advancement of the person’s right to health especially for vulnerable youths in Central and Eastern Uganda.
To create awareness about human rights and access to essential social services for vulnerable youth in the different areas of Central and Eastern Uganda.
To promote the economic empowerment of marginalized youths in Central and Eastern Uganda so as to improve their access to services and enable them achieve economic sustenance.
To orient stakeholders such as health practitioners on the need for friendly services for vulnerable youths in order to improve uptake of essential HIV prevention, treatments services and care.
To work with legal aid service providers to address the social legal needs and challenges of vulnerable youths in Uganda.
To provide capacity enhancement and support to vulnerable youths through skills training and enhancement at various levels in order to support the empowerment of the general community in which they live.
